She's co-written a book, an owner of restaurants, an avid wine collector and has composed a film score all the while writing lyrics & music for numerous albums and touring around the US and the world. She sings, plays the guitar, banjo, piano, mandolin, ukulele, and many other instruments. Add to that all of her work as a political and environmental activist and you've got one amazing woman. Julie Clark makes her Womenfest debut at the Southernmost Resort Poolside Cocktail Party on Thursday, Sept 9. She has earned noteworthy acclaim on the Modern Folk scene while steadily gaining recognition in the LGBT music world playing some of the biggest Pride and Women's music events around. Julie will also be playing at the Womenfest Street Fair on Saturday, Sept 11.
Christine Martucci
Christine Martucci makes her Womenfest debut at Pearl's on Friday afternoon, Sept 10. This popular New Jersey singer-songwriter-rocker has a sultry voice and a rocking style. Her award winning "There You Are" was the theme song of the 2009 OUTMusic Awards. Martucci premiered her rock musical "Breakfast with Janis" this summer at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ. Corday & the Classic Rock Cougars
Professional entertainer Jennifer Corday fronts this all-girl band featuring Rosie Aldrete, Desha Dunahoe, Krysta Carson, and Amy Blaze. Corday will play her award-winning originals, mixed in with classic rock and roll hits from the Cougars! Featured at Pearl's on Saturday afternoon and Cowboy Bill's on Thursday and Saturday night.
Sister Speak
Singer/songwriters Samantha Cathcart & Sherri-Anne met in the Chicago music scene shortly after completing their own debut albums.
